1. Product Features

75Cu copper additive is a flux-type or aluminum-type block product with a copper content of approximately 75%. It dissolves rapidly in aluminum melt and is used to precisely increase the copper content in aluminum alloys. It dissolves quickly and absorbs stably.

II. Applicable Scenarios

It is suitable for 2XXX series (aluminum-copper series), cast aluminum alloys (such as A380), and other aluminum alloys that require the addition of copper, which can enhance strength and hardness.

III. Dosage

Additive dosage (kg) = Weight of aluminum liquid (kg) × (Target copper% - Original copper%) ÷ 75%. The typical addition amount is 0.2% to 2.0% of the aluminum liquid mass. The calculation should consider the actual absorption rate, which is generally between 90-98%, and is influenced by factors such as aluminum liquid temperature, absorption time, and stirring intensity.

IV. Usage

The temperature of the aluminum liquid is 720℃～750℃. After skimming, the copper additive is pressed into the melt through a bell jar or directly added into the deep part of the melt.

Stirring promotes dissolution, and the duration is 15 to 30 minutes. After allowing to stand and skimming off the sediment, samples are taken for analysis.

V. Precautions

Excessive copper content can reduce corrosion resistance, so it should be added as needed; store in a dry place.
