1. Product Features

95Si quick-melting silicon is a blocky or granular product with a silicon content of about 95%. It is used for the rapid addition of silicon elements in aluminum alloys, featuring fast dissolution speed and high absorption rate. It can replace pure silicon or aluminum-silicon master alloys, reducing the addition temperature.

II. Applicable Scenarios

It is suitable for adjusting the silicon content of wrought aluminum alloys or aluminum-silicon alloys (such as A356, ADC12, A380, etc.) that require an increase in silicon content, as well as hypereutectic aluminum alloys that demand a high silicon content.

IV. Dosage

Additive dosage (kg) = weight of aluminum liquid (kg) × (target silicon % - original silicon %) ÷ 95%. The conventional addition amount varies from 1% to 10% of the aluminum liquid mass.

IV. Usage

The temperature of the aluminum liquid is 710℃～750℃. Rapid-melting silicon can be dissolved at a lower temperature. After skimming, the rapid-melting silicon is directly poured onto the surface of the melt and gently stirred, or pressed in. The dissolution time is 10～25 minutes, depending on the amount added. After thorough stirring, the melt is left to stand for skimming, and then sampled for silicon content analysis.

V. Precautions

Rapid-melting silicon has low moisture absorption but still provides moisture resistance; when added in large quantities, it should be added in batches; avoid insufficient dissolution caused by too low temperature.

VI. Packaging Specifications

Customized according to customer requirements, commonly available in 5 kg/bag and 1000 kg/bag.

VII. Storage conditions

Store in a well-ventilated and dry place, and strictly prevent moisture.
