Element additive
Product advantages: The additive for aluminum and aluminum alloys adopts a metal powder addition mechanism, achieving stable element recovery rates and an economical production method. It avoids the loss of aluminum and alloy elements due to excessively high melting temperatures. Additionally, the molten salt contained is beneficial for purifying the aluminum melt.
Instructions for use: Aluminum and aluminum alloys can be directly added to the melting furnace or holding furnace before refining. To achieve the desired actual recovery rate of alloy elements, the following aspects need to be coordinated.
1 Operating temperature:
Additives for aluminum and aluminum alloys are sensitive to temperature, so the temperature of the aluminum melt should be controlled at 750±5℃ when adding the additives; otherwise, the residence time will be extended.
2. Mucking:
The additive should be added after removing the surface scum to prevent it from being wrapped or floated by the scum.
3. Stand still
To effectively control the uniformity and stability of alloy composition, the mixture should be left to stand for 20 minutes after the addition of additives, allowing the metal elements to fully react with the aluminum liquid. After standing, stirring is required to ensure even distribution of the alloy elements.
4. Joining method and process
When the additive is directly added to the molten pool, it sinks automatically. As the molten salt undergoes a gas-generating reaction, the block floats up and down in the aluminum liquid. At this time, a small flame is generated on the surface of the aluminum liquid, and the metal powder particles in the block disperse in the aluminum liquid and form aluminum compounds. This process continues until the reaction is complete. The concentration of alloy elements around the block in the aluminum liquid is high, and a certain diffusion time or manual agitation is required to facilitate diffusion.
Usage:
After the furnace charge has been melted and stirred, samples are taken for analysis; the amount of additive to be added is calculated based on the analysis results. The calculation formula for the addition amount is as follows:
Addition amount (kg) = (target value - content of the element before addition) * melt volume / (actual yield 90% * content of the element in the additive 75%)
When the temperature of the aluminum liquid reaches 750℃, skim off the dross on the surface of the aluminum liquid; evenly add the additive to the melt and let it stand for 20-30 minutes, then stir for 5 minutes; let it stand for another 5-10 minutes before sampling for analysis.
Packaging and storage: 500 grams/piece, 2 kilograms/bag, 20 kilograms/box. Store in a dry place and avoid moisture.
Shelf life: 6 months
Advantages: 1. Relatively low cost
Secondly, since the raw material is not obtained through hydrogenation, it will not increase the gas content in the aluminum melt.
Characteristics: The block weighs 250 grams, containing 20% titanium (50 grams), with the remaining components being refined and refined aluminum alloy. It can cover the melt and isolate it from the air. This product does not reduce the modification effect of strontium and does not contaminate the aluminum liquid.
Usage: After the aluminum is melted and the slag is removed, add 20# titanium additive into the aluminum liquid at 750±10℃, let it stand for about 15 minutes, stir evenly, and then take samples for analysis.
Packaging: 250 grams/piece, 20 kilograms/box
Storage: Keep in a ventilated and dry place. Shelf life is 12 months.
