VietNamAluminum based intermediate alloy
Aluminum and aluminum alloy grain refiner
Product advantages:
The excellent refinement effect results in fine equiaxed grains in the casting; it effectively eliminates feathered grains and columnar grains.
Improve the surface quality of castings; reduce cold shuts in castings, effectively reduce porosity and looseness, and significantly enhance the ductility of castings.
For extrusion production, it can significantly improve the plasticity of the extrusion process as well as the surface quality and color uniformity of the anodized extruded profiles.
Significantly improve the impact toughness of the fabricated parts, and increase the impact toughness by 15% to 20% without compromising the strength.
Instructions for Use:
1. Operating temperature
The refining agent should be added when the temperature of the aluminum liquid is controlled between 710 and 735℃; if the temperature is too low, the reaction will be slower; if the temperature is too high, it may cause burning loss.
2. Mucking
The refining agent should be added after removing the surface scum.
3. Let it stand for 5-10 minutes
The refining agent will react immediately upon being added to the melt, and the reaction lasts for 3 to 5 minutes; during this process, stirring the aluminum melt is strictly prohibited.
4. Stirring
Once the reaction is complete (with a calm surface of the aluminum liquid and no smoke or flame), stir the melt to ensure even diffusion.
5. Contact time
The refining agent relies on TiAl3 and TiB2 particles in the melt to achieve its refining effect; as time goes on, titanium and boron will precipitate and segregate in the melt, leading to a decrease in refining effect; casting must be completed within 5 to 10 hours after adding the refining agent.
Usage: Directly add the refining agent into the molten pool, and it will automatically sink. As the molten salt undergoes a gas-generating reaction, the block agent floats up and down in the aluminum liquid. At this point, a small flame emerges on the surface of the aluminum liquid. The block agent disperses in the aluminum liquid and forms aluminum compounds until the reaction is complete.
Addition amount:
Pure aluminum (L2 L3) 0.5-1.0 kg/ton aluminum
Antirust aluminum (LF21) 0.25~0.5 kg/ton of aluminum
Wrought aluminum (LD31) 0.25 to 0.5 kg/ton of aluminum
Packaging and storage: 0.2-7kg/piece (strip), 20kg-1000kg/unit, stored in a dry place, avoiding moisture.
Shelf life: 12 months
