Aluminum-bismuth alloy
1. Product characteristics
Aluminum-bismuth alloy master alloy (product code AlBi, the name 'aluminum-hafnium alloy' in the picture may be a typo, and here it is written as AlBi aluminum-bismuth alloy). The bismuth content can be customized. Bismuth element can improve the cutting performance of aluminum alloy, but it will reduce the plasticity.
II. Applicable Scenarios
Suitable for the production of easy-to-cut aluminum alloys, such as aluminum rods for automatic lathes, precision machined parts, etc.
III. Dosage
The recommended addition amount is 0.5% to 3% of the mass of the aluminum liquid, calculated based on the target bismuth content.
IV. Usage
1. The temperature of the aluminum liquid is 720℃~750℃.
2. After removing the slag, put the aluminum-bismuth alloy block into the melt and stir until it dissolves.
3. Dissolution time: 5-10 minutes.
4. Allow it to stand and remove the slag before casting.
V. Precautions
Bismuth is prone to volatilization, so it should not be kept at high temperatures for extended periods; it should be stored in a dry environment.
