1. Product characteristics

Aluminum-chromium alloy master alloy (product code AlCr) typically contains 5% to 10% chromium. Chromium can refine grain size, improve corrosion resistance, and enhance high-temperature performance. It is based on aluminum and has stable dissolution.

II. Applicable Scenarios

It is suitable for 5XXX series, 6XXX series, and other aluminum alloys that require the addition of chromium, such as aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloy and aluminum-magnesium alloy.

III. Dosage

The recommended addition amount is 0.1% to 0.5% of the mass of the aluminum liquid, calculated based on the target chromium content.

IV. Usage

1. The temperature of the aluminum liquid is 720℃～750℃.

2. After removing the slag, put the aluminum-chromium alloy block into the melt and stir until it dissolves.

3. Dissolution time: 5-10 minutes.

4. After allowing the slag to settle, take samples for analysis.

V. Precautions

After adding chromium, it is necessary to stir thoroughly to ensure even distribution; store in a moisture-proof environment.
