1. Product characteristics

Aluminum-silicon alloy master alloys (product code AlSi) typically contain 12%, 20%, 30%, etc. of silicon. They are used to quickly adjust the silicon content in aluminum alloys, replacing pure silicon or rapid-melting silicon, and ensuring smooth dissolution.

II. Applicable Scenarios

Suitable for silicon content adjustment of aluminum-silicon alloys (such as A356, ADC12, A380, etc.) and the production of hypereutectic aluminum-silicon alloys.

III. Dosage

Additive dosage (kg) = weight of aluminum liquid (kg) × (target silicon % - original silicon %) ÷ silicon content in alloy. The conventional addition amount is 1% to 10% of the aluminum liquid mass.

IV. Usage

1. The temperature of the aluminum liquid is between 710℃ and 750℃.

2. After removing the slag, put the aluminum-silicon alloy block into the melt and stir to dissolve it.

3. Dissolution time: 10-15 minutes.

4. Allow the slag to settle and then take samples for analysis.

V. Precautions

When the silicon content is high, dissolution is slower. It is advisable to appropriately increase the temperature or extend the stirring time. Store in a dry place.
