Aluminum-manganese alloy
1. Product Features
Al-Mn master alloys are available in two specifications with 10% or 20% manganese content (product code AlMn). Based on aluminum, these alloys feature evenly distributed manganese elements and are designed for precise addition of manganese to aluminum alloys. They have a low melting temperature, stable absorption, and uniform composition.
II. Applicable Scenarios
It is suitable for melting 3XXX series (aluminum-manganese series) and other aluminum alloys that require the addition of manganese, such as rust-proof aluminum, can materials, heat sinks, etc.
III. Dosage
Additive dosage (kg) = weight of aluminum liquid (kg) × (target manganese % - original manganese %) ÷ manganese content in alloy (10% or 20%). The conventional addition amount is 0.5% to 5% of the aluminum liquid mass.
IV. Usage
1. The temperature of the aluminum liquid is 720℃~750℃.
2. Remove the scum completely and directly add the aluminum-manganese alloy block into the melt, stirring thoroughly.
3. After complete dissolution (approximately 10-15 minutes), let it stand and remove the residue.
4. Take samples for analysis of manganese content, and add more if insufficient.
V. Precautions
Select the appropriate specification based on the target manganese content; store in a dry place.
VI. Packaging specifications
Customized according to customer requirements, commonly used in quantities ranging from 0.2-7kg per piece (strip), and 20kg-1000kg per unit.
VII. Storage conditions
Store in a well-ventilated and dry place, and strictly prevent moisture.
