AJ6AB Refining Agent
AJ6AB refining agent is a specialized additive used for melting aluminum and aluminum alloys, usually in the form of white powder or granules. The main components are chloride and fluoride salts, which react with non-metallic inclusions and gases in the aluminum liquid to achieve the effects of degassing, slag removal, and cleaning the aluminum liquid. This product is suitable for casting ingots of recycled aluminum resources, recycled aluminum and primary aluminum resources after melting. During the refining process, the aluminum slag is gently heated, and the slag aluminum separation effect is good. At the same time, the extremely low content of sulfur element is beneficial for environmental protection.
1. Usage steps
1.1 Preliminary preparation: To ensure the optimal refining effect of the refining agent, the temperature of the aluminum liquid is maintained at 720-740 ℃, and pure and dry nitrogen or argon gas is prepared as the carrier gas.
1.2 Adding Refining Agent: Load the calculated amount of refining agent into the powder spraying tank and seal it tightly.
1.3 Start refining: Introduce a carrier gas (recommended pressure of 0.10-0.18 MPa) and slowly and evenly move the refining tube. The purpose of introducing inert gas is to provide power for the refining agent, helping it to better disperse in the aluminum liquid, while the inert gas itself also has a certain degassing effect.
1.4 Control refining: The refining time is usually 15-25 minutes, and the specific time can be adjusted according to the amount of aluminum liquid. Adjust the powder feeding speed to maintain even powder spraying. By adjusting the pressure of the carrier gas to control the agitation height of the aluminum liquid, it is recommended to control it below 150mm to reduce secondary oxidation.
1.5 End and Slag Removal: After the refining agent is sprayed, immediately remove the powder spraying tube and turn off the nitrogen gas. Let it stand for a period of time, wait for the aluminum slag to separate from the aluminum liquid, and then carry out the slag scraping operation.
2. Usage reference
The amount of refining agent needs to be flexibly adjusted according to the total amount and purity of the aluminum liquid. The following are general reference values:
General reference range: 0.1-0.2%
Efficient refining dosage range: 0.15-0.25%
3. Precautions
Tool requirements: Ensure that the powder spray tube is well sealed when inserted into the aluminum liquid to prevent air from entering. The powder spraying pipe should avoid contact with the furnace wall and bottom to prevent blockage.
Safety protection: High temperature resistant protective clothing, gloves, and goggles should be worn during operation. Maintain good ventilation in the operating area.
Storage requirements: Store in a dry, ventilated warehouse, away from direct sunlight.
Shelf life: 12 months.
